Celestial Whispers
A velvet drape, the night unfurls,
And darkness paints the sleeping worlds.
Then, pinpricks gleam, a silent birth,
The stars ignite, on heaven’s girth.
A cosmic dust, a jeweled spray,
They chase the shadows of the day. Each distant sun, a flickering fire,
A silent tale, a deep desire.
To reach beyond, to understand,
The vast expanse, the starry sand.
They twinkle down, a gentle gaze,
On earthly dreams, in hazy maze. From ancient lore, to modern sight,
They guide the lost, through darkest night.
A sailor’s friend, a poet’s muse,
A cosmic dance, that we peruse.
They whisper secrets, old and deep,
While weary souls, in slumber sleep. The constellations, traced in light,
A hunter’s form, a bear in flight.
Orion’s belt, a shining band,
Across the sky, a timeless stand.
Each pattern holds, a story told,
Of heroes brave, and ages old.And as the dawn, begins to break,
The fading stars, their leave they take.
They vanish softly, one by one,
Their nightly vigil, now is done.
But in our hearts, their light remains,
A silent echo, through our veins.
